Ice cream raises concern

An ice cream containing yellow rice wine in its ingredients is raising concerns over the possibility of drunken drivingby consumers. The ice cream is a product of the Cultural Service Center of Beijing Palace Museum.

The ice cream's packaging is in yellow – the color for the emperor in ancient China – with a label saying "Bestowedby His Majesty" on the package. Instructions read "No more than 6 grams of yellow rice wine is contained in each ice cream and a driver should eat only one, then sit behind the wheel for 10 to 15 minutes afteringestingto avoid being caught in a drunken driving test."

Some who tried it said the ice cream has a distinctalcohol flavor. This is not the first time the Palace Museum rolled out innovative theme products. A series of themed cultural souvenirs, such as calendars and watches, have won the hearts of consumers in recent years.

Japanese billionaire Yusaku Maezawa signed with SpaceX to fly around the moon on the company's next generation rocket, CEO Elon Musk announced on Monday. Maezawa will attempt to be the first to return to the moon in nearly half a century, launching aboard a Big Falcon Rocket, which SpaceX is developing.

One of the richest people in Japan, Maezawa made his fortune as the founder of online retailers Start Today and Zozotown. "Ever since I was a kid, I have loved the moon," Maezawa said after the announcement.

Macron's advice draws fire

The French president Emmanuel Macron was facing fresh criticism after telling an aspiringgardener that he could easily find a job if he would simply start looking in high-demand sectors like restaurants or construction. Macron was talking with the young man at the Elysee Palace on Saturday.

"I'm 25 years old, I send resumes and cover letters, they don't lead to anything," he told the president. "If you're willing and motivated, in hotels, cafes and restaurants, construction, there's not a single place I go where they don't say they're looking for people." Macron replied.

He suggested going to the Montparnasse neighborhood, an area full of cafes and restaurants, and assured him he would easily find work. "If I crossed the street I'd find you one," he said. Critics quickly took to Twitter to deridethe advice from the president. "Completelydisconnectedfrom the reality of the French," one user wrote.

"How can someone show that much contempt, lack ofempathyandignorancein just 30 seconds?" Christophe Castaner, the head of Macron's Republic on the Move party, rejectedaccusationsthat Macron had "poorly treated the unemployed". "Is what the president said false? If you go to the Montparnasse area, you won't find that they need workers?" he said in a television interview Sunday.

MI5 opens door to interns

For many students, work experience involves little more than making tea, photocopying and answering telephones. Some, however, could soon add foilingterror attacks and exposing spies to the list. MI5, the UK's domestic intelligence agency, has started to offer 11-week paid internships at its London headquarters.

The scheme is open to undergraduate students in the penultimateyear of science, technology, engineering or mathematics degrees. Successful candidates will be paid about 485 pounds a week. According to MI5, interns willrotatethrough four "technical" areas of the agency, where IT, coding and data analysis skills are required. The agency says its mostsought-afterplacements are likely to be in "covert technical operations" - hacking terrorists' electronic equipment.

"This is a new initiativeand we're investing in our future," MI5 says on its website. "Your work could make a direct impact on how we protect national security, and those who impress will be offered apermanentrole upon graduation."
